Hallucinations AI is a Paintings + NFT collection by American artist, b. 1989, Drew Wheeler – (known also as Original Wheeler, originalwheeler.eth, @ORGNLWheeler) of unique Ethereum NFTs inextricably linked to physical artworks.

First developed at the (R1) University of North Texas College of Visual Art and Design, This series of unique physical artworks explores the interplay of consciousness and novel technology by merging traditional painting methods with robotics and multimodal AI.

Hallucinations AI utilizes a large-format painting and drawing robot as an intermediary to play a game of visual "telephone" between multiple multimodal AI chats. Each work supplies an AI model with a common noun, which is then reinterpreted by this model on the same canvas until it hallucinates a new noun.

When these artworks are framed and displayed, viewers can scan each artwork's QR to delve into its creation process and access a dedicated ownership portal. Additionally, the current owner has exclusive rights to post updates on a dedicated message board, using up to 1000 characters, visible to all viewers.
